M.U.S.T. Shield (Multi-Use-Shield-Technology)
The M.U.S.T. Shield is designed for SRT and first responders. This new design allows for more versatile use of a ballistic shield during tactical operations. Some of the benefits include reduced exposure of the head and arms, easier long-gun deployment while standing, kneeling, and in the prone position.
At just 14 pounds, the 24” x 36” M.U.S.T. is approximately 30 percent lighter than shields of the same size. The shield boasts a more ergonomic design that relies on the operator's bone support versus muscle support, allowing it to be carried easily for extended periods of time without fatigue. It is also designed with a much larger view port that gives the operator a larger field of view.
The shield comes standard with a thick foam pad where the forearm rests for added comfort, and a lower strap for the forearm to stabilize the grip on the shield and allow 180 degree rotation. Other optional items include one or multiple LED lights, attached with a quick toggle switch and a pressure-pad system. It also has the option of adding removable feet, attached with a picatinny rail system. The M.U.S.T Shield is also available in a larger 24” x 48” size.
Some of the suggested deployments include: active shooter response, dynamic entries, covert searches, officer/victim rescues, hazardous or suspect vehicle approach and crowd control.
